AMERICAN RED CROSS WATER SAFTETY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION The Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification will train instructor candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue course, swimming skills and techniques. Instructor Candidate’s will be trained to teach individuals of all ages and abilities. The Red Cross WSI certification is recognized Nationwide. Become certified to teach the following:. Parent and Child Aquatics. Preschool Aquatics. Learn-to-Swim.

Water safety courses and presentations Prerequisites: Be at least 16 years old, be a proficient swimmer and successfully complete a stroke evaluation. Course Dates.: WSI Course: May 17 - 20, 2018 Thursday, 5/17: 4pm - 10pm Friday, 5/18: 4pm - 10pm Saturday, 5/19: 9am - 6:30pm Sunday, 5/20: 9am - 6:30pm.Must attend all classes in the course and complete the prerequisites in order to fulfill certification requirements. All sessions will take place at Rollins College Cost & Registration: $325 (includes $35 to be paid to the Red Cross).note: in the event of a cancellation, there is a non-refundable $50 registration fee.$290.00 due for registration with a $35.00 fee paid to Red Cross.
